You step into a sudden light filled space, whilst the unnerving sound of the stiff door scraping against the floor echoes behind you. In front of you there is an abandoned [[construction|caro]] site that can only be accessed by climbing up a scaffolding tower. It looks like it can take your weight, but you wonder if you should trust it... RETURN TO [[TITLE|title]]. 'Will You Go? is a non-linear narrative based website created by Vesper Cain, revolving around the idea of moving through creative pathways. Influenced by online ARG's, such as I Love Bees and Poppy Playtime pre-releases, the "game" takes a Choose Your Own Adventure approach and follows a series of encounters to create a journey through the 'art world'. The story has been written from a collection of memories, experiences and encounters received from a variety of people within the arts and culture sector. It includes their inspirations, favourite works of art and moments in their own creative journeys that influenced them to choose to work within the arts. Thank you to those who contributed, hopefully you can see a part of yourself within the game. Thinking about the idea of motivation, gamification and escapism, 'Will You Go?' explores how exposure to internet culture and online spaces can frame how we absorb information and affect our decision making. For your own exploration, below is a short list of Alternate Reality Game's that inspired the idea for this website: - Gravity Falls 'Cipher Hunt' - Ong's Hat (one of the first ARG's) - Leith Pierre Computer Search, Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 - The Beast, for A.I.
